These friends have been married almost a year and half and it feels like just yesterday we were capturing fun memories from their wedding! We were so excited to be able to capture this new stage of life with the addition of their first sweet baby boy, Gray! They are such a good team. When we visited them almost four months ago for his newborn session, they were in the middle of a renovation and sleepless nights, but they were so joyful and thankful for the gift of their baby! Big sister was thrilled, too!
They had pulled aside a cherished outfit that they knew would be perfect for Gray’s photos. Mama’s aunt, who passed away over 4 years ago, used to knit little apple hats for babies who had to stay in the NICU. She would pray over them and wanted to make sure those babies knew they were loved and the “apple of God’s eye.” Years later, the Hardy family was gifted one when they found out they were pregnant. What a divine gift to be reminded of this message and to treasure a small piece of her Aunt through their son.
“Keep me as the apple of your eye; hide me in the shadow of your wings.” Psalm 17:8
